4 ways EQ Bank makes integrated banking easy
Years ago, doing all of your banking with a single bank was definitely the norm.
But things have changed.
These days, we're accustomed to toggling tabs, switching apps, and checking accounts online without even thinking twice.
Technology has played a big part in allowing us to be more discerning customers, which has led to different bank accounts and investments for different financial needs.
At EQ Bank, we're committed to serving these changing needs for each and every customer. We understand that our customers use different banking and investment platforms to meet their financial goals, so we’ve created a seamless banking experience that not only allows for integrated banking, but also makes it easy!
Here are 4 ways to easily integrate EQ Bank with your day-to-day banking:
1. Questrade
Did you know you can add money to your Questrade account by using EQ Bank's online bill pay? Simply sign in to your EQ Bank account, and click on "Bills" or "Pay a bill" to get started. You can then add a new biller by searching for "Questrade." Money sent through online bill pay should arrive in your Questrade account in 1 to 2 business days.
2. PayPal
Shouldn’t the money that’s sitting in your PayPal account be earning high interest? When you move it to your EQ Bank account, it will! Sign in to your PayPal account and follow the instructions to link your EQ Bank account. Once the link has been established, you can move money between both accounts in just a few clicks. If you're looking to do some online shopping using PayPal, you can pull money from your EQ Bank account to fund your purchase. Keep in mind, you'll need to wait 3 to 5 business days for the money to become available in your PayPal account.
3. International Money Transfers powered by TransferWise
Looking to send money abroad? EQ Bank has a direct integration with TransferWise, meaning you can send an international money transfer quicker and cheaper than before. Here's how it works:
-If you already have a TransferWise account, you can link your existing account with EQ Bank to seamlessly access your existing payee list from TransferWise.
-With our direct integration, you can skip the step of needing to first fund your TransferWise account, and instead send money directly from your EQ Bank account (which saves some time!)
- When you initiate the transfer using EQ Bank instead of from your TransferWise account, you can avoid having to incur a direct debit charge which means more of your money will get to the recipient. We use the same exchange rate you see on Google, which is drawn from publicly available data and shows the exchange rate being used on global financial markets. (In case you're wondering, it's also called the mid-market rate, spot rate, or interbank rate.) Learn more about EQ Bank's international money transfers here.
4. Account Linking
If you own multiple bank accounts at various financial institutions in your name, you can link them all to your EQ Bank account to withdraw or deposit money electronically. You can even link up to 10 different accounts, and assign a nickname to each account to help you remember where you're moving your money. That’s right—no more memorizing a bunch of different account numbers, just a quick one-time setup that makes banking even easier! You can learn more about electronic transfers here.
